The Stoic is a novel by an American writer Theodore Herman Albert Dreiser. It is the third and final part in the Trilogy of Desire about Frank Cowperwood (The Financier, The Titan and The Stoic). The novel was unfinished and published only after the writer's death.After the failure in Chicago, when the competitors didn't allow him to prolong transport concessions, Cowperwood moves to London, where he decides to develop the underground railway system. He manages to gain the support of Lord Stane, who has wide connections in England, and his business partner. The personal life of Cowperwood doesn't change a lot.
