Shadows Beyond the Gate
Merry Hanson is eagerly drawn to a twin lamb born at her friend Rachel Zook's farm after the mother and one of the twins suddenly dies. No one seems to be able to coax the sick animal back to health--except Merry, who connects all too well with the tiny lamb after losing her own twin sister, Faithie, as a child. But with all the hours Merry is spending at the farm, it becomes truly difficult for her to ignore Levi Zook's quiet distance and Jon Klein's sudden interest in spending more time with her. While Merry focuses on helping the young lamb, she must come to grips with a tragedy that is years old. Will she be able to count on her friends, as well as the boys in her life, to understand?
