Charade in Winter

by Anne Mather

Alix had her own reasons for wanting the job of cataloguing Oliver Morgan’s library at Darkwater Hall, and not one of them was calculated to appeal to him. So she travelled to Northumberland under false pretences, hoping that he wouldn’t find out the truth; and found herself in a situation that soon became complicated beyond her wildest imaginings. She might have fooled Oliver, but he had fooled her in return – the job she had been hired to do didn’t exist, and worse still, he had a disturbing attraction that threatened to upset all her plans. Could Alix escape? And did she want to?
