A pavement of pearl

by Iris Danbury

Rianna accompanied her brother to Sicily to join an underwater expedition in the hope of finding something of interest for a travel article she intended to write. But the uncompromising Holford Sinclair, leader of the expedition, made it clear that he had no time for her interference in his work. Why should she care what he thought of her? But soon Rianna had to admit to herself that she did care, very much, about Holford’s opinion of her. Where would that get her, though? It was already only a question of which of the two women already in his life he would choose—the beautiful Sicilian girl, Emilia Cavallini, or Lynda Patterson, who had an even stronger claim on his attention—and his love.
