Enchantress
The sixth and final book in Michael Scott's Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series, which follows twins Sophie and Josh Newman after they are drawn into a centuries-old struggle over the legendary alchemist's book of secrets. This volume pulls the series' many strands together, splitting between a besieged, sinking Danu Talis in the distant past and a modern-day threat to San Francisco. It assumes you have read the earlier books, since it pays off long-running threads rather than starting fresh. A busy, plot-heavy close aimed at the young-adult readers who followed the twins from the beginning.
