Seven lectures, first published by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ; included as the fore-part of the Doctrine and Covenants between 1835 and 1921. Although authorship of the Lectures is uncertain, studies suggest that the actual wording was largely by Sidney Rigdon, with substantial involvement and approval by Joseph Smith, Jr. and possibly others.--Cf.
