In this Flip-me-over Book, a human mother and father each tell a child how various animalswhales, penguins, etc.care for their young. If I were your chimpanzee mama and you were my chimp ... I would build us a sleeping platform so we could rock-a-bye in the treetops ... Each spread includes additional information in small type explaining the particular behavior: Each day a chimp mother builds a fresh bed of leaves for herself and her baby. Both stories conclude with the adult tucking the youngster in bed with a kiss.
