"Dan's my only hope," Joe said desperately Cathy felt she was being pulled two ways. She could ignore her brother's plight or appeal to Dan--the husband she had left--for a loan. In the end she had no choice, for Joe was in serious trouble. Dan agreed to provide the money on one condition: "I want you back as my wife," he demanded Could she do that? The reason she had left had not changed, neither had her consuming love for him. And again, it seemed, her life was out of control.
