Lady Midnight
In the first book of the Dark Artifices series, Emma Carstairs, a Shadowhunter, patrols Los Angeles with her parabatai Julian Blackthorn. When human and faerie bodies are found murdered in a pattern similar to Emma’s parents’ deaths, the pair must investigate before the killer turns to them. Their search reveals hidden truths about their partnership, the law that forbids parabatai love, and the identity of Emma’s parents’ killer.
