The Hero King Gilgamesh
The story of the great hero Gilgamesh, King of Uruk, is one of the oldest epics in the world. Dating from some 5000 years ago, it has been preserved on ancient clay tablets. As well as tales of gods, monsters and high adventure, this text includes a version of the Biblical story of the flood.
