The Great Pretenders
Joel Morrison’s world is falling apart and he finds himself at a crossroads. When he receives the news of his father’s death, he abruptly leaves Seattle and heads home to Kentucky, hoping for a new beginning. However, his plan is disrupted when he becomes entangled with an old friend whom he hasn’t seen in over 27 years, the charismatic and violent, Tonto McCauley. Returning home rekindles Joel’s memories and he soon recalls another friend, who happens to be Tonto’s ex-wife, the beautiful and compassionate Esther Adams. Elated, Joel resolves to find Esther, but is filled with anxiety because he knows that Tonto is his best hope. As the unsettling past of these three characters are brought into the light, emotions erupt, and tragedy strikes those who are either unwilling to change or simply caught in the crossfire. Survival becomes the name of the game.
