Settings: Victorian London; North Pole - Amelia Wishart is a lowly chimney sweep who despite her meager existence exudes the kind of hope providing thrust of Santa's sleigh. But when she is sent to the workhouse and her hope drains away, Santa is worried he may have to cancel Christmas if there is diminished hope to power his sleigh.
