Forest
When twelve-year-old Amber accidentally triggers a war between humans and a community of squirrels, she finds out how similar the two species can be. The small town of Forest is really two towns. Lower Forest is home to the independent Amber Padgett, her family, and their neighbours; Upper Forest is where thoughtful Woodbine and his fellow mink-tailed squirrels reign. For years, the two groups have ignored each other - until the day when Amber climbs up into a tree and Woodbine sees her. Soon Upper Forest has declared war on Lower Forest, and the only two who know are Amber and Woodbine. They can't talk to each other. They don't even know each other's names. Can they stop the fighting before it starts?
