It began almost 30 years ago, when Pauline and Dan were given a box of Christmas tree ornaments that once hung on Pauline's grandparents tree. These ornaments, the only survivors of a Christmas tree fire in the first decade of the 20th century, became the nucleus of a vast holiday collection that includes decorations for under the tree and all throughout the house.
