Originally published as Youth: Challenge And Change. In the winter of 1961-1962, Daedalus, the journal of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, brought out an issue on youth. It forms the basis for and provides the bulk of this book. The sequence of articles are the same as they appeared an Daedalus. However, three articles have been added which were considered applicable.
