The lost daughter of happiness
In the 1860s a young woman, Fusang, is kidnapped from her village in China and sold into San Francisco's seedy underworld of prostitution. Soon she falls into an obsessive relationship with a Californian boy, Chris. But there are many obstacles in their way.
