Two boys, Hinata and Kageyama, share a passion for volleyball. Kageyama is a skilled setter, while Hinata is a shorter attacker. They meet during the first round of national tournament qualifiers, become rivals, and later must cooperate to join Karasuno High School's volleyball club and pursue their shared dream of playing.
