Sophia Saandvoort lives with her husband Cornelis in 17th century Amsterdam. Calvinism may have wiped Catholic richness from the town's churches, but its painters make up for it with portraits and still lives. One such man is Jan van Loos, commissioned by Cornelis to paint himself and his lovely young wife.
