Spells and Bindings
The forces of enchantment are paradoxical to human minds. In themselves neither good nor evil, they have the potential for both good and evil. A number of different beings - survivors of the early ages of the earth - wielded magic power. They might be called fairies in England; Twlwyth teg - or the Fair family - in Wales; or Alfar, which meant elves, in Scandinavia. Their kingdoms were beneath the sea or under the ground or hidden among the clouds or simply invisible. Some of the beings, however, walked among men and women and even married them. Spells and Bindings is a tapestry of legends, stories and folklore commonly embellished with the fascinating touch of magic which has intrigued humankind since the beginning of time.
