A Voice From the Wilderness
The Lazarenko and Kosmenko families, joined as the family of Damian and Docia Lazarenko, emigrated to Canada from the western Ukraine at the turn of the 19th century. Docia Kosmenko (1873-1947) had married Damian Lazarenko (1860-1947) on 12 November 1892 in the Ukraine. They settled near Edmonton, Alberta.
