Mrs Pepperpot's Outing and Other Stories
In this story, Mrs. Pepperpot repeatedly shrinks to a small size. During each shrinkage she meets various animals, which she later adopts as pets once she returns to her normal size. The narrative follows her adventures as she encounters different creatures, each time forming a bond that culminates in the animal becoming her companion after she regains her usual stature.
