Paulo, a young Brazilian aspiring writer, meets Karla, a Dutch woman looking for a companion for the hippie trail, in Amsterdam. She persuades him to travel together on the Magic Bus toward Istanbul, Central Asia, and Kathmandu. Their journey sparks a mutual romance that awakens them and forces decisions that will shape their futures.
