Desaparesidos
The novel follows Anna, a mother who is separated from her infant when she is arrested by the military for participating in revolutionary activities against the Marcos dictatorship. Twenty years later, with no certainty of her child's survival, Anna continues her search. The book illustrates how martial law devastated numerous families and how the anger and pain inflicted by the regime are unintentionally transmitted to subsequent generations.
