Nurse in the outback.

by Sharon Wirdnam

It was a long way from nursing in southern England to going to Australia for six months, working as a theatre nurse in a hospital remote in the outback of Western Australia, but Kate was glad of the change to put her broken romance with Ben behind her. After all, she loved her work in surgery and there would be as much scope for it in Port Dampland as anywhere else. There was one drawback, in the person of the grim surgeon-in-chief Grant Kershaw, but gradually Kate got to know him better — and, inevitably, to fall in love with him. Only to bring down on herself the jealous fury of the vengeful Sister Tessa Hetherington!
