Public Speaking and Influencing Men in Business
Dale Carnegie's 1926 course book on speaking to an audience, written years before How to Win Friends and Influence People and drawn from the same adult-education classes he taught at the YMCA. It is practical rather than theoretical: how to prepare, how to open, how to hold attention, how to manage nerves. The business framing and the men-in-business title are of their period, and the advice underneath is the plain-spoken confidence coaching Carnegie became famous for. Useful as an origin document for a whole genre.
