This is love

by Barbara Cartland

When Lady Athina Ling is forced to stay the night at a Posting Inn, she hears the screams of a small boy being savagely beaten by Lord Burnham, his step-father. She vows to rescue him and very early the next morning she takes the child to his uncle, the Marquess of Rockingdale, to persuade him to take Peter in. Together, they realise that Lord Burnham will probably murder his stepson for his inheritance, but the Marquess can only become Peter's legal guardian if he is engaged to be married - and neither he nor Athina have any wish to marry.
