Examines the British intelligence operations which defeated the early 20th century Indian revolutionary movement by developing a complex intelligence network encompassing not only London and Delhi but also North America, the Far East, and many European countries. Emphasis is placed on analysis of British intelligence--which organizations served in India, who controlled them, and the scale on which they operated--and on analysis of the oft-overlooked Indian revolutionary movement.
