Defiant mistress

Dazzlingly beautiful Louisa Varley has been abandoned by her bigamist husband and must make her way as an actress in Brussels where she attracts the ardent attention of a young soldier. Her suitor’s older brother, Lord Lyston, however is determined to prevent the match. When the battle of Waterloo intervenes, Louisa is forced to return to England. Here she comes to cross paths again with Lord Lyston who seems determined to keep an eye on her, despite his ongoing belief that she is the worst sort of temptress.
