Steps to Music Theory Volume II: Intervals and More
Steps to Music Theory is an easy-to-use music theory textbook that teaches you step by step. Volume II: Intervals and More covers more complex rhythms and meter, intervals, transposing instruments, and modes. The five chapters include:Chapter 7: More Rhythm and Meter, Chapter 8: Intervals, Chapter 9: More Intervals, Chapter 10: Transposing Instruments, and Chapter 11: Modes. The author describes each concept thoroughly in over 200 pages, including over 100 real music examples (from which nearly half are by women composers). The book also contains nearly 150 examples created for the book. Many of these examples illustrate the most common errors students make. Each of the five chapters are broken into sections, and nearly every section has up to six practice exercises for the music student to try on their own. There are 88 companion lecture videos that go over each answer step by step. QR codes allow the reader who prefers to print and write in the book access to hundreds of musical examples and video lectures.
