"Venom's back! one of the most popular Spider-Man villains of all time returns ... deadlier than ever! While Peter Parker wrestles with feelings of remorse over the injury of his longtime friend, Flash Thompson, a series of assualts in New York City has left seemingly unconnected victims in a strange coma. The half-human, half-alien symbiote known as Venom is on the loose, and seems to be attacking people at random. But what does he want, and what will it take for Spider-Man to defeat him?"--Page 4 of cover
