On a clear day

by Yvonne Lehman

Having been fired because of her faith, Ellen Jonsen is desperate for work. When she takes a job at a Christian conference center, she can't deny the sparks of attraction that seem to leap between her and her new boss, Richard Williams. But every time Richard seems to draw close to Ellen, he suddenly retreats. She knows some secret from his past is causing Richard pain. Life at home is equally confusing. For two years, Ellen's dad has trusted her to care for her four-year old adopted sister Missy. Now he seems to be pushing Ellen away from home -- and from Missy. As Ellen's life becomes increasingly complex, she struggles to discern God's leading -- wondering if the storms of life will persist in clouding her vision or whether a clear day will break through.
