When her fiance' left her standing at the altar, veterinarian Terry Russell determined never to get involved in another romantic relationship. Instead, she concentrates on caring for the animals at the clinic. The only man in her life is her best friend Caleb Montoya, the local game warden, whom she has known since childhood. And there's nothing romantic about her relationship with Caleb; it's only a comfortable friendship. When a tiger disappears from a nearby circus, Caleb and Terry are thrown together as they attempt to track the animal through Texas hill country. As they search for the tiger, Terry realizes that Caleb is acting as though he feels something more for her than friendship. She's made the mistake of accepting love before; she won't do it again. yet doesn't the Bible say that perfect love casts out fear...?
