The best descriptions are short, eye-catching and intriguing. They should be no more than 2 or 3 paragraphs long at most and should get straight to the subject or story. There's no need to summarise the entire plot or content, or bog the reader down in unnecessary detail. Think about what will grab people's attention and what are the key things the reader really wants to know. It's better to leave them wanting to know more than have them lose interest. Remember that this will be read by multiple audiences (consumers, customers and press) so avoid hard-selling or trade-specific language.
