Handmade Alphabet
Inspired by her Deaf stepson, Rankin created this alphabet book, which celebrates the expressiveness of sign with lyrical clarity and creativity. Each illustration is imaginatively linked to a word that begins with a corresponding letter of the written alphabet. The art is eloquent and elegant, and the hands are all different - male and female, large and small. This softcover edition replaces the hardcover edition.
