Scout Platoon, Fox Troop, 2d Squadron, 2d Armored Cavalry Regiment was in a situation they had neither trained for nor expected. Leading the United States Army into Kuwait during Operation Desert Storm, they found themselves whisked away from their intended objective in a blinding sandstorm, and landing on the plains of Thermopylae, Greece just in time to participate in that famous battle. Just when they thought they were about to be overwhelmed by the Persians, a new vortex appeared, and they eagerly entered into it, hoping it would take them home. It didn't. Instead, they now find themselves in a grassy valley facing a Roman era marching camp, bristling with soldiers.Join 2LT Dean Hawkins and his troop in this new adventure as they seek to find their way home while avoiding becoming just another part of the casualty list of one of the greatest defeats Rome ever suffered in the field. Along the way, they meet some of Rome's historic figures, and help solve the mystery of the famous Gold of Tolosa.
