Broken Promises, Shattered Dreams
John Jacobs won the 1979 Disco Dance Championship and was featured nationwide on the television program “Dance Fever.” He dreamed of giving his mother a better life in Florida and was promised that his idea of a crossover Latin reality show backed by Cuban-American star Emilio Estefan would make that dream a reality. Those dreams were shattered by broken promises. This is the story of how John almost made that dream come true through a long legal nightmare.
