Tornor Keep, a fortress in an imaginary world, has been captured by the forces of Cal Istor. Tornor's captain, Ryke, must serve the conqueror in order to save the life of it's young lord, Errel. With the help of two mysterious women, Ryke and Errel escape to the south where they learn the way of the "chearis," dancing warriors and students of the martial arts.
