To be honest

by Maggie Ann Martin

Savannah's mother has become overbearing regarding weight and body image. Meanwhile, Savannah meets the cute new guy at school, who has insecurities of his own. After Savannah's sister goes off to college, her mom is constantly pressuring Savvy to be mindful of what she eats. As if senior year wasn't bad enough! Savvy's mother's obsession with weight has only grown deeper since her own appearance on an extreme weight-loss show. Then Savvy meets George, the new kid at school, who has insecurities of his own. As Savvy and George grow closer, they help each other discover how to live in the moment and enjoy the here and now before it disappears. -- adapted from jacket.
