Bayou fever

by Kathleen Y'Barbo

Angeline Breaux loves the bayou--She also loves Jefferson Villare. Unfortunately, he's in love with a dream - of becoming a medical researcher. To make matters worse, Angeline's father has arranged her marriage to another man - one who will keep Angeline in the bayou. Jefferson can't reconcile his desires. He loves Angeline, but God has called him to work with beakers and theories - work that will surely lead him far away from the backwards bayou that Angeline loves. Can Angeline and Jefferson allow the Lord to direct their paths, or will the plans of men thwart their happiness forever?
