In this sardonic, searing new play, it's 1989. In East Berlin, dissident Frank Mueller and American journalist Morgan Conway relive the day Frank and thousands of others protested the Berlin Wall. The day Frank was crippled, the day Morgan's photo of the Stasi beating Frank went around the world. The Wall opened, the Stasi are gone, but do Frank and Morgan deserve applause? Spectres of a Stasi past, and a Nazi past, appear. Maybe they should have heeded Salinger? “I'm sick, sick, sick, of everyone who wants to get somewhere, do something.” Should they have stayed home?
