A Dictionary Of Color Combinations
A reproduction of colour combinations compiled in Japan in the 1930s, presented as flat swatch groupings of two, three and four colours with their reference values. There is essentially no text: the book is a working tool for designers and illustrators, opened for a palette rather than read. Its appeal is partly historical, since the combinations carry the sensibility of their period, and partly practical, since the groupings solve a problem that a colour wheel does not. Small format, and used more than shelved.
