Fragments of a Leather Manuscript Containing Moses' Last Words to the Children of Israel
This book is an English translation of a work previously published in German in 1883. The original work appeared as Hermann Guthe, Fragmente einer Lederhandschrift enthaltend Mose's Letzte Rede an die Kinder Israel (Leipzig: Druck und Verlag von Brietkopf & Härtel,1883). The work presents the published report of a week-long examination of sixteen leather strips consisting of two copies of a purported ancient biblical manuscript belonging to the famed antiquarian and bookseller Moses W. Shapira.
