While she makes every effort to insult him, her behavior ends up threatening her reputation. When her parents send her to Bath to re-think her future, she befriends Rushmore's ward, Louise - a wealthy heiress - who has attracted a handsome fortune-hunter. When Perdita and Rushmore join forces to thwart Louise's beau, she starts to realize that perhaps she has misjudged the handsome nobleman.
