No Physical Evidence
Josh Jin is an assistant district attorney whose life has fallen apart. The death of his enchanting thirteen year old daughter has devastated him and destroyed his marriage. Besides his recent failures in court, he has infuriated his boss, the DA, and lost his post as head of a bureau. Then a SACA (the DA's Sexual Assault and Child Abuse unit) case is assigned to him. The case is hopeless. There is no physical evidence and the victim won't admit she's been raped. It's been given to Josh to dump, not to win it. The girl, Rachel Farr, is thirteen, a surly, defiant kid whom Josh resents simply because she is alive while his daughter is dead; yet almost against his own will, he fights to win her confidence and, against all odds, to try a case that he can win.
