Making up for lost time Jacky Manson can't believe her luck when her new post at the Hôpital de la Plage brings her face to face with the consultant Pierre Mellanger, the man she has loved ever since she can remember. Seeing her at last for the beautiful and competent woman she is, Pierre appears to return her feelings - but he is bringing up his young son and has vowed never to risk the child's attachment to someone who could never be part of their lives.
