Kyla was well aware of Adam’s thoughts about her. He believed her to be a fortune hunter. "You've got it all now." he said. "The furs, the diamonds, the easy life. All the things you believed you couldn't get from me." When she returned home to Scotland, she knew that she would have to face him. After all, Adam was now engaged to her sister, Nairne. Surely they could put the past behind them! She hadn't come home to resurrect thoughts of what might have been. She’d come back to fight for the future...her future.
