Ghost Rider: Travels on the Healing Road is a memoir by Neil Peart, the drummer and lyricist of the rock band Rush. Written after he lost his daughter in a car accident and his wife to cancer within a short span, it recounts the tens of thousands of miles he rode by motorcycle across North and Central America while trying to outrun his grief. Peart writes as an observer of landscapes, roads, and his own slow recovery, mixing travelogue with raw reflection. It is a long, plainspoken book about mourning and motion, and about a private man learning how to keep living.
