This book tells the story about the making of the film The Misfits (1961), directed by John Huston and starring Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable and Montgomery Clift. Photographers Eve Arnold, Cornell Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Bruce Davidson, Elliott Erwitt, Ernst Haas, Erich Hartmann, Inge Morath and Dennis Stock of the Magnum photography agency covered events both on and off the set of The Misfits. Two hundred of their photographs document the making of this movie and provide an intimate portrait of three of the most famous film stars of all time.
