Eight Years a Soldier
Eight Years a Soldier is the story of Isaac Levan, a young German immigrant and indentured servant who joined his adopted country's fight for freedom as a teenager and grew of age serving in the Continental Army for eight years. Living the life of a soldier for eight years, he was a witness to many of the significant battles of the war and was on hand when the end came at Yorktown. He was to know hunger, lack of proper clothing and footwear, and other hardships often known only by men who choose to serve their countries.
