What we collect
To run ChapterPals we store the information you give us: your email address (for passwordless sign-in), your name and profile details, the clubs you join, your reading progress and shelves, ratings, reviews, and the messages you post in club discussions. We also keep basic, privacy-respecting usage analytics (which features are used) to improve the app.
How we use it
Your data is used only to operate ChapterPals — showing your clubs, coordinating meetings, tracking group progress, sending the meeting reminders and digests you've opted into, and improving the product. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
We send sign-in links and the club notifications you've enabled in Settings. You can turn notification categories off at any time in Settings → Notifications.
Third parties
We rely on infrastructure providers to run the service (hosting, database, transactional email, and book metadata/cover lookups). They process data only to provide those functions.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, manage notification preferences, and request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us.
